The Moment Everything Changed In November 2025, our world stopped. Sterling, our vibrant three-year-old Maltipoo, suddenly lost the use of his hind legs. Seeing a young dog lose his mobility to spinal inflammation is a heartbreak no pet parent should endure. While prescription treatments eventually helped Sterling regain his stride, the experience left us with a powerful conviction: healing should happen every day, not just at the vet’s office.

Turning a Problem into a Product Inspired by Sterling’s recovery, we looked for a way to create a daily snack that didn't just taste good—it fought for his health. At the same time, we saw a massive environmental problem: millions of tons of nutrient-rich brewers’ spent grain being discarded.

As part of The Catalyst mantra, we decided to turn this "problem" into a solution. We discovered that by upcycling these grains, we could capture bioactive polyphenols and fibers that are often lost in traditional pet food.
