The living laboratory

Turning problems into products

Turning problems into products, with measurable outcomes.

Built for the full stack of innovation

In the heart of Jackson, we find value in the “space between”—converting industrial liabilities into scalable community assets. The Catalyst at Belhaven is a vertically integrated venture engine, built to move from research to delivery without losing the mission.

Our unifying thesis is simple: biological and industrial systems under stress follow predictable patterns. We build solutions that reduce risk, create jobs, and translate research into real-world benefit.

The 65/35 financial architecture

We cap operating expenses at 65% of gross revenue to protect mission delivery and fund a living wage for student talent. The remaining 35% is redistributed as social surplus.

  • 65% Operations & living wage runway
  • 14% Belhaven University General Funds
  • 13% Catalyst R&D Operations
  • 5% Local Charity & Food Security
  • 3% Amos-Wicks STEM Scholarships
